SASSETA Learnerships 2021-2022

SASSETA learnership training is available in all provinces of South Africa. Applicants wishing to apply must do so in their province. These SASSETA courses usually last from 12 months to 24 months and include a monthly scholarship.

This learnerships program operates within the government’s national skills development strategy and provides candidates from all communities and their knowledge about sharing a skilled workforce. They aim to reduce poverty and unemployment in South Africa. This program includes a monthly scholarship for a period of study, usually 12 months.

Requirements for SASSETA learnerships

Candidates must include a detailed curriculum vitae and be between 21 and 35 years of age. Candidates should also provide communication references as well as information relevant to their application. Includes certified copies of all relevant certificates, IDs and addresses up to three months old.

Candidates will also have to meet the following conditions:

* Applicants must be South African citizens
* Applicants must have a valid South African ID
* All candidates must have passed the class 12 certificate
* Candidates must have a degree in their field of application
* You must be fluent in English and another language
* Candidates must be proficient in mathematics
* Not all candidates need to have a criminal record
* Candidates must have excellent communication skills – oral and written
* Applicants must have a strong character
* Candidates should have a basic knowledge of the field of study to which they are applying

Applicants who apply will be tested:

* Any credit history
* Criminal past
* Any feedback from previous employers
* Any forgery of documentation

Any form of forgery will not be easily detected. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. These candidates may be required to undergo medical, psychometric or other tests as required by the business. Candidates are not offered a permanent post after training, but some of these institutes may offer permanent posts if they have an opening.

About 30% of each learning is theoretical and 70% practical training. Learning can include self-defense, firearms and physical fitness.

Candidates must ensure that they complete the application form and sign it before sending it. Any form that does not have information, signature, date or documentation will be disqualified. Late entries are not considered. Only selected candidates will be contacted, so if you have not heard from the company within three months of the application date, you may consider your application unsuccessful.
