About Toyota Company

The Toyota Motor Corporation, formerly known as Toyoda, created Kiichiro Toyoda in Japan in 1937 as the spin of his father, Toyota Industries, to create cars. It was founded as an independent and separate company by Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, a car manufacturing company.

Toyota Motor Corporation is a Japanese multinational motor vehicle manufacturer headquartered in Toyota, Aichi, Japan. As of 2017, Toyota is the largest car manufacturer to produce more than 10 million vehicles a year since 2012, when production of its 200 million vehicles was reported. As of 2014, Toyota was Japan’s largest listed company in terms of market cap (more than twice the SoftBank value) and turnover.

The production of Toyota vehicles began at the Kariya plant when Toyota Motor Co. was founded. Ltd., and the following year at the Koromo plant (now the Honsa plant) when it began work in 1938.

In 1959, production began at the Motomachi plant in Japan and overseas in Brazil. Since the development of motorization in Japan and overseas markets, Japanese production sites have been expanded throughout the overseas areas, with partial demolition (SKD) and total demolition (CKD). By the end of the 1980s, globalization was rapidly advancing and overseas production was increasing.

Toyota’s total car production since the inception of the G1 truck in 1935 before Toyota Co. Ltd. by the end of 2011, there are approximately 1957 million vehicles. Production, especially in Japan, increased rapidly during the 1960s, and Toyota set up many new production sites. In the mid-1900s Toyota expanded its market worldwide by building several branches outside Japan. Later, when New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. began production in 1984, (NUMMI) In the United States, domestic production achieved dramatic success. The IMV (Innovative International Multifunctional Vehicle) project was launched in 2004 and in 2007 overseas production exceeded production in Japan.

The IMV project delivers three pickups based on Hilux, a Fortuner sports utility vehicle, and the Innova minibus in Asia, South Africa and South America, which is supplied to more than 140 countries worldwide.

Toyota Learnership Training 

The Toyota Learnership Program is currently the only available development option for Toyota South Africa Motor. This program is suitable for students with a technical background. That is, those interested in gaining work experience in the field of mechanical or electrical engineering. Toyota Leadership includes both practical and theoretical training that operates according to the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) standards. This learning enables students to acquire the skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviors required in the workplace.

Toyota’s learning program in South Africa is presented in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. In this program, students are trained in various technical disciplines. The duration of the program is longer than 7 months. Students who successfully complete the program receive an NQF Level 2 certificate.

Toyota offers a dynamic, diverse and exciting environment that enables you to develop your individual talent to the optimum level while contributing to the global success of an already established brand. During the learnership program you will be exposed to new technologies and diverse cultures, as well as a general understanding of different business areas and their project management internationally.

Minimum requirements for Toyota learnership

If you are a young, innovative, enthusiastic graduate who wants to be part of a multinational business and make a significant contribution, you must take the opportunity to participate in the Toyota Learnership program. Those interested and interested in participating in the Toyota Learnership program must meet the following minimum requirements:

Be a citizen of South Africa
Candidates must be under 30 years of age
Candidates should not be permanently employed
Candidates must present a professional image
Candidates must have a good knowledge of English (ability to read, write and speak English)
Candidates must have good communication skills
Candidates are not expected to attend the training program
Candidates should not be involved in any other research or training activities during the Toyota Apprenticeship Program

Candidates should not have a credit history
Candidates should not have a criminal record
Mechanical subject students:
Technical matrix or NTC3 completed with the following subjects: Graphic design / engineering, mathematics, physical sciences

Electrical Commerce students:
Technical matrix or NTC3 completed with the following subjects: Graphic design / engineering, mathematics, physical science, industrial electronics / electrical engineering
Complete a subject-related subject

How to Apply for a Toyota learnership Program 

If you are interested in applying for the Toyota Learnership program and meet the minimum requirements above, you can email the application form to recruitment@ticonsulting.co.za. Remember that you must also have copies of curriculum vitae (CV) / CV and certified copies of senior certificates and identity documents.

In addition to the email on the Toyota website, you can also apply for the Toyota Learnership program. Toyota Learnership’s online application processes are available on various websites throughout the year. Candidates will need to register an account before they can submit and complete the online evaluation form. Once they can log into their account, they can proceed with their application.

Applicants will be required to complete the application form with details such as name, contact details, work experience, educational history and contact details. In addition, candidates will also be required to submit a curriculum vitae (CV) / CV and other supporting documents, such as a certified copy of their South African ID and a certified copy of their technical matrix certificate / NTC3 certificate . In the next step, candidates will need to complete an online assessment form. Candidates who meet the minimum criteria will be notified via email with a link to the online evaluation form. Each assessment measures their skills and abilities.

Successful learning candidates will be trained in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal for approximately 7 months. Upon completion of this program, students will receive a NQF Level 2 certificate.

Toyota’s learnership program has two areas to choose from. These two options are mechanical trading and electrical trading.
