About Bytes learnership programme
Bytes Technology Group is a major subsidiary of the JSE-listed Altron Group and is partly owned by Kagiso Strategic Investments. Bait is a federation of leading ICT companies operating primarily in South Africa, although it is also present in several other African countries and the United Kingdom. They offer a Bytes Bytes training program to help gifted people gain hands-on experience in their field.
Bytes People Solutions is a professional talent management provider, a leader in skills development and a trusted consultant to many different organizations in South Africa and the rest of Africa. Through Bytes People Solutions, Bytes People Solutions has trained and provided work for more than 3,000 learners, making it the preferred partner for a comprehensive ICT training program.
Bytes People Solutions applies the same model for government education as corporate clients in the private sector. The learnership is offered in collaboration with the relevant operational training institutes (Setas) and employers, making them the best available IT learnership.
Bytes each year, people from different communities offer different information technology (IT) learnership, including NQF level 4 technology training and entry-level ICT training. Learnership is part of the SA Government’s national skills development strategy to deliver skills that will reduce unemployment and alleviate poverty.
Bytes learnership is open to those who have the necessary qualifications to study for further education and training (FET) certification in correctional services learnership(NQF Level 4).
Learnership program in grips consists of theoretical and practical training as contained in Byte and training providers, and many of the trainees are subject to extension or full-time practical training contracts. In 2012, three KwaZulu-Natal technology students completed their choice of National Certificate System Support NQF Level 5 and Microsoft MCITP Server Administration Certificate.
Many of the students who completed Bytes People Solutions training have since been employed as testers, contact center agents, computer technicians, junior developers, general administrators, help desk agents, junior webmasters, junior webmasters and junior database administrators.
Bytes Solutions: end-user computing and contact center learnership opportunities
It is results-based learnership and is based on a legally binding agreement between the learner, the employer and the service provider.

Bytes learnership requirements
There are certain requirements for admission to the following learnership:
Applicants must be South African citizens
You must be unemployed
Candidates must be between 18 and 34 years old
All applicants must be women and disabled
Candidates must be able to attend classes on weekdays (Midrand) and then be placed in the workplace
Candidates must be ready to commit for 12 months
Applicants should not have a criminal record
You must live in JHB or the Pretoria area
Applicants may not study
All applicants must have excellent English language and communication skills
Applicants must be in Grade 12 / Matrix
You must be able to submit medical certificates indicating the nature of their disability during the recruitment phase.
– Applicants for end-user learnership must reside on a computer in the Johannesburg or Pretoria area (the training period is about 5 months; the rest of the year must be spent working)
– Candidates for contact centers must live in Pretoria, Midrand, Tembiz or Diepslot (training period is about 2 months; the rest of the year is spent on work)
The learnership program is for one year (12 months) and pays a monthly stipend of R3000,00 per month.
After completing the training, certain job opportunities are available, depending on the learner’s success in the workplace education.
